Tree Trunk

The photo taken on October 19th, 2015 at the corner of 6th St and McKinley shows a cut trunk of a Palo Verde tree. Even though the rest of the tree and it's multiple trunks are a greenish color, the cut trunk let's us see that on the inside the tree is of a light brown color. Trees are great markers of time because of tree ring dating. Tree ring dating is the analysis of patterns of tree rings to determine the age of the tree. This method helps to determine how long a tree has been around where it is located.
