Mote Park

The morning began dismally, wet and grey, like yesterday but with rain added in for good measure.

Then by 9.30 the nasty stuff began to clear away and by the time I arrived back after my run the skies were clearing and the tempurature rising.

The afternoon was spectacular, warm, sunny and hardly a breeze, what a difference a few hours made. We put the weather to good use with a walk around Mote Park combined with a visit to the Post Office and Library where I had to pay a massive 40p fine owning to two books being a combined 20 days late. Now I'm over 60 the daily fine is 2p a day instead of 15p.

As the light faded we took a trip to a farm shop the other side of town. We'd like to go there more often but it takes 25 or so minutes to drive there and kind of defeats the purpose of shopping locally. However, they are good for pickling onions as it is that time of year again.
