Lilly-Calf

I promised a calf blip and here she is. This is our hereford-x calf Lilly. She was sound asleep flat on her side when I got to the gate. She was quite a way off from me and I was whistling, calling, shoulting, banging and rattling in an effort to get her to wake up and lift her head. As any livestock farmer will tell you, it's not the bulls that you want to be scared of but the mums! A bot like in human society too then! So there was no way I was going to stride over and tap her on the shoulder to wake her. Hopefully next time I go armed with camera she will be a bit closer or I will have the monopod and get a clearer picture. She was a long way off and I had to use my BIG lense.
