Jacaranda in Bloom

Jacaranda blooms is a good indication spring is upon us.

Jacarandas are popular trees planted along significant sites or landmarks back in the "old" days and when in bloom has a colourful display of purple hue all round.

This blip is of the local North Pine Community Hall, Petrie, built in 1889, which now is the North Pine School of Arts. Originally, the land was purchased by Tom Petrie, pioneer of Petrie and the surrounds.
