Bowood 2015 #44 (Wednesday 21st October 2015)
Every visit to Bowood is different and since my previous visit of one week before Autumn had definitely progressed. I concentrated on photographing the trees and the leaves, and looked at the plaques with the numbers that would enable me to identify the trees later from their tree guide.
The tree in the foreground here is an 11m Hungarian Oak (Quercus frainetto) planted c. 1975. Behind it is a Fastigiate Norway Maple (Acer platanoides 'Columnare') whilst to its left with the bright leaves is a Red Maple (Acer rubrum 'October Glory') planted in 1977 and 17m tall.
Sometimes at home I see and hear a skein of Canada geese fly over the cottage and have wondered if they were returning to Bowood Lake, so I was pleased to see a large contingent fly in at around the right time, supporting my theory. I was also lucky to see a hare again.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Blackalicious featuring Imani Coppola - The Sun (2015)
I've been trying to follow the career of Imani Coppola since owning her album Chupacabra back in 1997 (some may remember her hit Legend of A Cowgirl, LOTD, 6.11.2013, sampling Donovan's Sunshine Superman) but it's been difficult with albums not being released or not promoted, collaborations, different acts (for example as Little Jackie, who had a hit with the marvellous The World Should Revolve Around Me), soundtracks, acting roles and so forth. Although this comes from an album entitled Imani Vol. 1 this is the only track on which she appears, Imani being a Swahili word meaning 'Faith'. I heard it on Radcliffe & Maconie's show (6 Music).
