Autumn ghost

Not a great day today - wet this morning and dryish this afternoon, but a bit more sunshine would have gone down well.

Even on a sunless day the autumn foliage is good and this Ghost tree, Dove tree, Pocket handkerchief tree, call it what you will, was glowing.

Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana, to give it its Sunday name, was introduced from China in 1897 by the Abbé Farges and is a deservedly popular and hardy tree.

My extra picture today is specially for my ArtyFarty friend who likes crazy things!
