Flower Friday Special Visitor

It's not good enough for Flower Friday, I know.  In fact it's a crap flower shot.  But the butterfly is very special.  It's a female Caper White, (Belenois java teutonia) and I've never seen one before in the garden.  AND I saw a male Caper White as well, which is simply amazing.  I have more pictures in extras.

These very pretty butterflies are migrants to South Australia, and arrive from Central and Eastern Australia from October to December.

They do have an endemic food plant which I am very tempted to get -  it would be spectacular to have a breeding colony.

Not easy to photograph - very flighty.
