Getting jobs done around the house today. In order to freeze batches of crab apples for wine-making the chest freezer needed to be tidied. A good job done so then I went on to tidy up the kitchen freezer.

I've decided to have a few weeks of using things from the freezers. Makes sense to have a good clear-out then I can put some fresh stuff in for what may turn out to be a bad winter.

On the way back from Birds' Bistro I saw the light on the larches as we came into the village. This arch is the entrance to Greystoke Castle.
