Bathampton Down

Up early to cycle to Doug's farm to pick ragwort for the day with Max. When we arrived at the field (after negotiating a bog/slurry of mud and cowpat) to see that it was almost covered in the stuff.

Set about work, got about 25 bags done and covered a quarter of the field - of which there are about another 6 to do... Enough work there if you can stick it! It's nice enough, good chat with friends, but out in all weathers and muddy work. We got a bit of sun in the morning, but soon the clouds came in and we were caught in a few showers. Got drenched in one of them, but you're working hard enough to stay warm, and it's not too unpleasant once you're committed to getting dirty.

This is the TV/radio mast up on Bathampton Down, near the University of Bath. Shows the cloud base is about 370m (meteorology nerd).

Back home to cook burgers for the family, watch New Girl on TV and drink lots of tea. Working on Dad's house tomorrow.
