"does anybody really know what time it is"

"does anybody really care . . . i don't, does anybody really care about time, if so I can't imagine why, oh no, we all got time enough to cry"

Now then, for the young'uns out there, those words were the theme of my "if you can remember 'em, you were not there days" sung/performed numerous times by a long forgotten rock group known as "The Chicago Transit Authority", who in later years (probably due to some sort of "request" from the city of Chicago shortened their name to - in fact - "Chicago" a group I followed like Bill Walton followed the "Dead"

But enough on the stupidity of my youth . . .

Being typically "stupid" after lunch earlier, those words came out of my mouth while traipsing about Greenwich. Greenwich is one of daughter Steffi's favorite haunts in Londontown, in fact if you were to ever visit her in the days gone by, you would no doubt be dragged here, before ever glimpsing anything remotely seen on PBS or any chamber of commerce sponsored postcard

Surprisingly it was not even considered when looking for a home by her, "too touristy dad"

Admittedly the Royal Observatory and the environs therein are of immense historical interest and the skyline of the 'City of London' (quite why it's referred to as such is something I'll have to lookup one day, but not now) are really spectacular, particularly on a clear day with planes taking off in the background

The clock in the photo is "the Shepherd 24 hour gate clock" until recently the standard by which all timepieces were set. Greenwich Mean time - GMT -

and in typical "Chicago Transit Authority" style, i'll end this foray into 'time'

"we've all got time enough to die"
