Heavy Horse Remembers

I usually try to get a shot of Andy Scott's M8 Heavy Horse at this time of year when it is proudly displaying its Poppy.

However today, as well as the official one, a white poppy had been added.

I don't really have a problem with them doing this but from a photographic point of view it did detract a bit from the image.  As you will see I tried changing the colour to red to give it two red poppies but it didn't help a lot.    It was on with cable ties otherwise I would have removed it long enough to take the picture.

The inscription on it reads -

For the many thousands
who paid the ultimate cost
in the fight for peace
may you never be forgotten.
