A long and exciting day

It seems to have become a tradition for the girls to spend Hallowe'en here. They get very excited about dressing up and joining the local children in their visits to houses in the village. People are so kind and seem to enjoy the whole thing as much as the children do. So, (in extras) is the traditional picture of the dressing up - a witch, a ghostly cat in the hat and a fairy. We also had a visit from the tooth fairy last night, as you can probably tell, which is what started the day rather early!

Amongst many activities today, we spent a lively few hours this morning walking (and running - see extra) by Ullswater.

But I am blipping the picture I really liked, which is the two older girls. They were actually testing each other with 'hard' sums using a calculator and iPod Touch.

Several of the family are only just now settling to watch a recording of the Rugby, having made sure they don't know the result. I do, but am not telling.

It's been a hectic few days - catch up with everyone tomorrow.  Thank you for the lovely response to our youngster in creative mode. You should have seen her this afternoon when Grandma produced a box full of shiny bits . . . and glue!!
