Wound up in Wexford

The pond, again

We've had a pretty good day.

It didn't start well, with a phone call from the folks who answer dad's emergency alarm at 0230.  "Don't worry" says the lady on the end of the phone.  "Your dad's pulled his cord, but he's not ill, it's just there's an alarm of some sort going off in the background.  Can you go and sort it?"  So I drove over, and his mobile phone (which he never did really get the hang of, and which he absolutely never uses these days) was beeping continuously with some sort of warning about a "charging error".  I switched it off, unplugged it, and confiscated it!

Back to bed by 0330.

But we've had lovely weather, W watched what he tells me was an excellent game of rugby, and there was a lovely sunset - picture added as an extra.

Then this evening we've hung lots of pictures on the walls.  We've identified places for several more, and have largely cleared the "storage" corner of the lounge, emptying 2 boxes in the process.  The house feels more like a home, and we have a tremendous sense of satisfaction.
