Eek!

Another day of settling into the new place.

This largely entailed Mrs G organising the kitchen whilst I arranged the lounge. We actually went through 3 lounge arrangements before settling on the one that seemed to maximise the space.

The day was occasionally punctuated by the odd curse-word here and there while I battled with reassembling furniture (don't worry - the little one was out with cousins so no innocent minds were harmed).

With the exhaustion yesterday, I couldn't really talk about how emotional it has all been, especially when the 3 of us took a final walk around the old place. It contained a lot of milestones. Mrs G's and my first owned home together; we got engaged and married whilst living there; brought our first child home into that house and she took her first steps there. The list is endless. We knew a move was inevitable but it still hit home to walk through the empty rooms. Im not ashamed to say a few tears were shed.

Onwards and upwards as they say so here is a blip of the (limited) Halloween decorations on the front door. The first of many!
