Life through the lens...

By ValC

Not a sunny Sunday!

Firstly many thanks for all the lovely comments, hearts and stars for yesterday's cheetah blip.

Today we woke up rain!
Temp drop too.
Never mind, we have still had a great day.
Started out with brunch. at another stunning wine estate deli/ restaurant. Tokara.
This time there were fires lit in.two huge fireplaces, and a huge glass window over looking the. vineyard, and valley.
I had bacon and egg Benadict.
Which was two poached eggs, bacon, on a corn fritter, with smoked tomato and jalapeño jam. See photo.

Then we drove to the Motor Museum at Franschhoek.
This was for G who is nuts on cars, however the place blew us away!
What an amazing collection of cars, from first to last, Set out so pristinely.
We all enjoyed it.
See photo of Model T Ford.

On to the town itself where we stopped for coffee and cream tea. Still drizzling.
Looked round some lovely craft shops.

Drove up and over the mountain pass, where I took the photo. Still a bit rainy.

The countryside is beautiful even when the sun isn't shining.
Met a few baboons on the way back!

What I didn't realise was that as well as vineyards, there are hundreds of acres of fruit trees. The place must look wonderful when they are in blossom.

Back home and having a well earned rest, and cup of tea!
