Without the Forest…

…the views open up and the sky becomes much bigger.
At 10° C today the weather was incredibly warm for the first day of November. We took advantage of this to take a long walk through the forest, ending up in this newly cut area with its big views and big sky.
I'd mark where I took the photo on a map but Google maps, as used by Blip, doesn't show this lake. When I checked the Google satellite photo I understood why because it was taken in winter and the lake was frozen and looked like a large snow-covered field!
