Brightest shot taken today - the weather being overcast - found we had to do a lot of piering - to see through the fog and mist

The mood in the hotel bar was somewhat overcast last night - heard a glass smash against the stone floor - then a chap collapsed on top of it - luckily someone put him into the recovery position - whilst others took it in turns to administer CPR - until an ambulance first responder arrived - the ambulance crew that followed seemed concerned about his breathing as they stretchered him out

Walked around Birkenhead this morning - to see its historical attractions - which included Hamilton Square - Birkenhead Priory - a former Benedict monastery - climbed the tower to miss the splendid views of Liverpool - Birkenhead - and the Mersey - because of the fog - and R's favourite - a full size replica of a steam powered submarine - built out of wood and iron - that actually sailed and submerged - don't know how that worked

Afternoon spent walking around Kirby - discovered a pavement that separates lake from the sea - makes folk look like they're walking on water - another extra

Not used to writing so much - will have to get a peerless drink from the bar
