The Postie

We cannot take much more of this unremitting November sunshine.  The Current Mrs Creel vamoosed into Toon today for dancing; meantime I had taken myself over to the Quack in Stromness.  Nipped in past to see my Mum and help her make a dental appointment.  Back at HQ CMC made her Christmas cake and pudding.  Taking advantage of the oven I have just popped in a casserole which I’ll serve with garlicky cabbage in cream, roast parsnips and neep and mashed tatties - all out of the garden.  The degree of technical difficulty of last night’s dancing was very demanding including the Muckleburn (which as you’ll all know includes 5 couple set and link both along the line of dance and against the set) and Entente Florale, the new Adele Saunter, The Splicing and Lorraine’s Delight (which must be the best ever 3 couple set).

Tonight we are going to more (easier) dancing in Kirkwall.  Baz is grumpy, Harry is very perky and Bibs is longing to get outside for the first time, she’s a peedie bit too young yet.

We are last on the Postie’s round; we usually get our mail between 1.30 - 2.15 p.m.  Here he is retreating through the Gyre plantings and hence back to Kirkwall.
