Went for a walk up the hill behind the waterfall on the road to Maghera Beach, Ardara, this view was the reward. Also, the call of the Curlew was lovely to hear.
We also, heard the sound of someone weaving, Donegal tweed, in an outbuilding in a farm yard, he was willing to chat & let me take photos. It is a dying craft, machines can produce it at such a rate, apparently all the wool is imported, as the wool from Irish sheep is not suitable for the fine weaving he is doing. As he was talking he recalled some awful experiences he had when he lived in the Glens of Antrim years ago, teaching weaving during the troubles in the late 60s & 70s, I hope those days are behind us.
