Under the Willow Tree . . . . .

. . . . . remember the book by Hans Christian Andersen?

I went to the boat ramp at the confluence of the Kaiapoi & Waimakariri Rivers today, to photograph this tree. I'd noticed it when we'd been putting our boats in for kayaking and wanted to go back and photograph it. Funnily enough I was actually going to blip an image of the mouth of the Waimakariri River, with white capped waves, and beautiful clouds, but this one of the tree is my favourite - I love the trunk particularly, and the rushes just beyond. So windy tonight! They say we're going to get snow down to 400m. Groan! But that's Spring; unpredictable.
