Wear You Poppy With Pride

Each year we remember "them" . Those who gave so much, that we may live in freedom .They did not run away when the going was extremely tough. The trenches were terrible in WW1 and even to this day  weapons are buried in fields . I have a relative at Essex Farm Cemetary ,Ypres which is next to a field station hospital where the poet John McCrae was a medical orderly. Once, whilst visiting to lay a wreath on the named grave, a tour group asked if I would read In Flanders Fields outloud  for them .It was the hardest task I have ever done and even thinking back now chokes me up .Look what I've seen today and swiftly blipped . This bus company has put a poppy on their fleet .Superb they look too. Then even the geese .No app or processing used at all . The goose had a lovely red leaf on its breast and made no move to remove it .How many died for us and all that we enjoy today .Too many to count . Let us recall their sense of duty and lack of cowardice  We must never forget .

To
wear  your Poppy is  a very tiny gesture,
To keep 1 minutes silence is a tiny mark of respect ,
For the greatest sacrifice made by oh so many .
