Migrant in Moscow

Last of the leaves

View towards the Grand Kremlin Palace and the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, which stand out in this partial frame of stark leafless trees (and a few stark television masts).  The tower was built in 1508 which makes the coming winter its 507th.  It's 81 metres high, has 22 bells, the largest bell weighs 65.5 tons.  Just amazing to think of the history that has passed around and underfoot.

We had 30 minutes of magical light as the sun disappeared today.  I missed most of it but managed to capture the Kremlin from the Patriarch's Bridge and added it as a second blip.
