Ginkgo

My daughter was feeling a bit down after being made redundant, so I
planted this Ginkgo by her patio, to cheer her up. It nearly didn't make it because a certain deerhound puppy came along and chewed off every branch (no names mentioned.....Brodie!)

I was advised that it was dead and that it should be ripped out of the ground. I'm so pleased that I didn't and gave it a chance. 

That was about 5 years ago and the same daughter landed herself a new amazing job which takes her all over the world. Tonight she is travelling back from Philadelphia and should be here by breakfast time. 

I've missed her.
