Bavarian royals.

Trying to tidy upo around the new pond or rather goose swimming pool.

Just by chance at lunchtime heard of a supply of concrete paving slabs being given away, so hitched up trailer and set off. Turned out to be a bit harder work than thought. Quite rightly I had to do the loading myself which meant loading six slabs in a wheelbarrow, crosiing 10m of grss , through a narrow garage side door, 90° turn, through the garage and then unload stones laying them in the horse trailer. The guy who was doing the garden renovation work and had lifted the slabs from the terrace reckoned they weighed 5 or 6 kg each. I reckoned 15kg and he laughed. At home I weighed one - 18kg and there were 130 of them (40x40x5cm). So lifted and pushed some 4.7 tons and yet again drove home slowly with a slightly overloaded trailer.

Was pretty tired in the evening, falling asllep on the sofa but woke to find the photographed comedy sketch running on Bavarian TV.. I think self explanatory. Bavaria in particular and Germany in general has a sort of longing to have a royal family again.
