Thanks To Those Who Can And Do

Melissa and Andy along with one of their acquaintances, Dick (in the extra) have committed to purchasing a 37,000 square foot building to house the new home of Hope For NH Recovery.  Melissa was probably most instrumental in getting this going as she badgered and cajoled her husband and Dick into making this happen sooner rather than later.  In a few months it will be renovated and made into a place where people can go to get help with treatment for substance abuse, help finding a job when they leave treatment and finding a place to live and anything else they might need assistance with.  In a little longer, they are hoping to have rooms and actual living space for those in recovery as well.  Today was the press release and announcement.  For about 130 years the building was owned by the Longo family to house their furniture business.  The aging adult children of the original owner were on hand and were very proud that this was going to be the use for this building that was in some ways very sentimental to them.  Hope remains and is seeing progress.
