Lee Miller: A Woman's War

We were up in London all day, mainly to see the play "Photograph 51" with Nicole Kidman as Rosalind Franklin, the female scientist behind the discovery of DNA.   The play was excellent and Nicole did well!
But before that we went to a couple of exhibitions.   Firstly to the one on Lee Miller at the Imperial War Museum which focussed on her war photography.   The shot above was taken of a poster of Lee with one of the visitors lurking on the left.   We are great fans of Lee's work and have just heard that they are proposing to make a film of her life starring Kate Winslet.
After that we went on to the National Portrait Gallery to see the exhibition based on Simon Sharma's recent TV series.
All in all, an excellent day out.
