Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

A remnant of the old neighborhood

Recording another site on my “onestreet” Eastlake..
This used to be the Red Robin, a long time well loved Seattle hamburger restaurant.    2 sleeping bags lie on it.    Now it and the parking lot next to it are slated to become a 3 story building with 52 residential units and a 2 story building with 9 units plus retail space (total 61 living units) with  combined parking for 40 vehicles part of which are across the street in a parking lot.  You can see the University district in the background across portage bay(with crane).    Of course there is great controversy over this one too…and it’s being reviewed again… it's much too dense for this amount of space....but the guidelines keep changing even with lots of neighborhood attention on them.... update later....
