She stole my job!

Well, she didn't really!  But over 20 years ago, we both applied to be Britain's first astronaut! Needless to say, I didn't make the grade, but this lady, Helen Sharman, did. 
I met and spoke to her a few years after she returned from her mission with the Russians on Mir and I was cheeky enough to tell her she had stolen my job! She was a lovely lady and it was good to see her on the BBC this morning, along with Tim Peake, who is to be Britain's first astronaut on the ISS.
