"We shall fight them on the beaches"

The words of Winston Churchill seemed particularly appropriate when taking a photo of my poppy on the beach at Tynemouth today. Only one day of the year is dedicated solely to honouring, and remembering, the many who fought, and continue to fight, to enable us to live in the freedom we so often take for granted. We must never forget their sacrifices, every single day.
