Last night in Vietnam

We had a delicious glass of fresh milk and then set off on the road around the national park. Unfortunately we got a puncture but luckily it was as we went through a village so we were able to get it fixed, although no one spoke any English so it took a little while to find the mechanic. It only cost $3 for him to replace the inner tube.

Back on the road, we took a wrong turn and I quickly realised and stopped to check Google Maps on my phone. By chance I'd stopped outside a workshop of ladies making brooms (see the extra photo) and they immediately all burst out laughing. One of the ladies stood up and came to the entrance to say hello (and attempt to speak to us in Vietnamese) but none of them stopped laughing the whole time. I imagine it's very possible that they've never once seen foreigners in that village; firstly it's a fairly remote area and secondly due to the wrong turn, we were off the main road. It was a very funny experience and they even invited us to sit down with them.

The drive back to Hanoi was a different route to yesterday and it was more stressful due to the busy traffic but we got back and had a bit of a rest before going to dinner with Cam and Linh for my final night (see the other extra photo). Of course we went to my favourite chả cá restaurant! It was sad saying goodbye to them.
