Pinos Altos Quinta da Lago Algarve

The 8th hole and only a mere 116 metres from the
yellow tees to the green! But the mere isn't the
only distraction - intimidating as it is to the
occasional golfer - these tees are usually attended
by a pretty young lady bookmaker who takes
a small wager as whether your ball will land on
the green - a virtual Island. Success is rewarded
by gasps all round and a box of top quality golf
balls. I need hardly add that the distractions got
the better of me and the wildlife on the mere were
at greater risk than the flag on the green!
