The Big Racket

Gulli played his Cornet in The Big Racket at St Mary's college sports hall which is huge! There were about 200 particiapants and the concert lasted 75 minutes.
I kept Gulli off school as the rehearsal was 4.15 till 6.30 and the concert 7-8.15, the School had double booked a trip to the Arsenal Ground by coach on the same day getting back at 4.30, when they realised their mistake they got a minibus to bring the pupils taking part in the concert back early, Gulli wasn't bothered about the ASrsenal visit and having done the Big Racket with Zebedee I knew it would be long, hot and tiring. So we had a chilled morning, then went and bought new trainers and school shoes as his feet have grown and also wrote a Biography for his homework on Nathan Stephens the Paralympian Welsh Javelin thrower, a very moving tale that had me in tears.
Gulli was very nervous about the concert but he did really well, here he is during rehearsal.
We stayed up to watch the match, Go Spain!
