Empire Biscuits.

I made these last night for this week's lunchbox treat for the kids. I haven't made them for ages, so thought they would make a nice change.

This is a very traditional Scottish biscuit- unheard of generally in England.

This is my granny's recipe- she used to make them to sell at church fetes...my mum did too. As children we were allowed the odd one!
