Mono Monday 93 Money

Well I was really scraping the barrel to find something for today's MM challenge:  I had lots of work of the paid variety to get through and I must confess that Pink Floyd don't really do it for me.
Several songs have come to mind - Money Makes the World go Round from Cabaret and Money Money, Money by Abba for instance but there was not time to set up a wonderfully creative image to suit.
So out came the Penny collection, or rather 4 pennies and one halfpenny.  These coins span the reign of 5 British monarchs; Victoria, Edward VII, GeorgeV, George VI and Elizabeth II. No coin was minted for Edward VIII during his very brief reign and that explains why 2 apparently successive monarchs have their heads facing the same way: each monarch faces the opposite way to his/her predecessor.
I've chosen a Victoria penny from later in her reign where she is wearing a veil as she mourns Prince Albert.  Pennies earlier in her reign are called 'Bun Pennies' as she is shown as a young woman with her hair dressed in a bun.  I do possess a few of these but they are so worn that it is almost impossible to photograph them successfully.

Thank you again to Goran Zebuhr for kindly hosting this month
