Metamorphosis

I decided to go out on the Golf Course this morning to see how it was recovering from the Curtis Cup held here a few of weeks ago. UK & Ireland beat the USA. Thats the Curtis Cup, Ryder Cup, Walker Cup and Sondheim Cup all in Europe. The intoxicating aroma of the wild Honeysuckle behind the 18th tee is totally overpowering. On the way home I spotted these berries. Higher up the bush there were still some flowers. I cheated. Picked the flower and put them with the berries to show how they metamorphise into the fruit, just to the right of the flower you can see the initial swelling, the green fruit slowly ripening into the dusky hue of the ripe berry. It might be an idea over the next few weeks to follow the progress of the Blackberry.
