Wojtek the bear

Wojtek - a Syrian Brown Bear found in Iran and adopted by soldiers of the 22nd Artillery Supply Company of the Polish II Corps in 1942.  Pictures are of a newly completed monument in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh.

Hard to realise but this is my 365th blip. It is mazing how "addictive" blipping can become, and I look forward to my next year on the site.  Many thanks to all followers and friends who have commented over the past 12 months.
