The Artist and the Washer Woman

I first met Leon in 2001 when he was the set designer for a local production of "The Wind in the Willows" and I played the Washer Woman.

I also helped Leon paint the set. We spent an enjoyable week together, chatting and painting and sharing our lunches. He made me cheese and pickle sandwiches! I thought him a lovely man but just a little bit vague.

Our paths didn't cross again until I started my role at The Sidmouth Club. He remembered me but had no idea why.
