Remembrance

As the text in the middle of the wreath says, it was laid by the Council.  But it blew away.  It was then relaid with a stone on top to prevent it happening again.  An elderly couple fetched some string and I was on hand to help them tie the wreath to the monument.  It was important to them.

The Council also put up the village Xmas tree.  No lights yet.

I suppose there was a time when we didn't Councils to do these things.
