For wishes

I went to Kamakura today and visited Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu. Every time I go to Kamakura, I visit this shrine. It is an Shinto shrine built in 1063.

Lots of decorations were found around there for Tanabata (the star festival in Japan). According to legend, the Milky Way separates the lovers (Orihime and Hikoboshi), and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month. People celebrate this day by writing their wishes on small pieces of paper and hanging them on bamboo trees with decorations.
