Best laid plans...

Today I had a lovely day planned - cheeky Killigrew with Clare, Tiddlers, quick shop for tea stuff, help at school.

Instead, Ben rang from Reading at 8.50am. "Are you busy?" The children start school at 8.50 (big 2) and 8.55 (Lily). So it is highly unlikely that the time between about 8.30 and 9am is ever going to be a good time.

Turns out he left his passport at home. Which isn't normally a problem even with all the talk of crossing the border into Cornwall. But as he was booked onto a 16:00 flight from Heathrow to Madrid for an important meeting with the client, no passport was an issue.

So Red and I have spent today sat in the car driving a 280 mile round trip to meet Ben in Taunton Sainsburys. He did buy me lunch so that is some consolation.

Luckily it was worth it as he texted just after 3 to say he had cleared security and was on his way to meet his colleagues at the gate.

Toilet Training Day 4
So far we are completely accident free (it is 16:30) and I was brave foolish enough to risk him in pants in the car... I think Red may have cracked it!
