Through the Window

It is lovely looking through our sitting room window to the garden outside. It has been blowing a strong cold south-easterly wind for most of today. I have been keeping a watch on the delphiniums. The flower heads become very heavy and some need staking to protect them from the ravages of wind. Luckily our garden is fairly sheltered by the large trees on the boundaries. There was hail falling up the Wairau Valley to the west of Blenheim but we had virtually no rain here at all.
