Coronation Clump

This rather obscure commemorative stone is in the oldest part of Pipe Hall Farm Woodland Trust reserve near Burntwood, Staffs.

"These trees were planted in 1937
to commemorate the coronation of
King George and Queen Elizabeth.
God save their majesties."

It was a glorious morning. Strong light. Clear skies and stunning colours. But by the time I had got to this end of the wood, the heavens were darkening. Abigail is on her way.

Stay safe Scottish blippers.
