Extreme pain

Visited the V&A Museum today to see the Shoes exhibition- entitled "Pleasure and Pain" -Extreme footwear from around the globe.. Unfortunately no photos were allowed . I could not believe how tiny were the shoes for the bound feet of the Han Chinese women. It was quite gross thinking how deformed their feet must have been and what pain they suffered.   I selected this blip of a 1500 Turkish bowl when I realised the girls in the background had posed for my photo.
