Blue Faced Clock

A different view today of St.Peter's Church at Addingham (nr. Ilkley).
Wet and windy, and bare trees.   You might be interested to know that the shade of blue used on the church clock face is known as “Potts’ Blue” after William Potts and Sons of Leeds whose blue faced clocks became their speciality after they discovered that gold lettering is easier to read on blue rather than black.
