John

When we got up this morning it was raining really hard and the raindrops were bouncing off the road. Considering that this was the day of our club workshop that was taking place on the coast it looked as if we were going to have to find a plan B.  But by the time we all met up and got to North Gare it had stopped raining and there were glimpses of sunshine.

We spent the morning at North Gare, which is between the mouth of the River Tees and Hartlepool, then in the afternoon we went to one of the old coal mining villages further up the coast. This is John who we found near the allotments. He was a real character.

Tomorrow I will be busy with the indoor workshop, not attending but making the coffee and teas, then off to the Lake District on Sunday.
