Watton Water Pump

As part of my recovery I'm to walk for 10 minutes 3 times per day this week. One of today's mini walks was in the nearby village of Watton at Stone. Whilst the village was mentioned in the Domesday Book, this cast iron pump dates only from the 19C and was once the village's main water supply but is now dry. Nearby there is also an old telephone box still in use with a public pay phone.
Watton, although small, boasts several famous residents including Frank Warren, the boxing promoter. Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films), grew up here.
