We carved out a few hours today to visit the new Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking district.  The Whitney Collection includes many Edward Hopper paintings and drawings so I was disappointed to see only two on display (not those pictured here.)  The old building, on the Upper East Side will be leased to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the next seven years for its modern art collection.
