Billy no mates

Got a lot of things ticked off my to do list today before I got sidetracked with stuff not on any list - the making of mince meat for example (cos you can't easily buy it here) and the setting to soak (in brandy) of the fruit for the Christmas cake (there's every type of stollen available here, but that doesn't quite hit the spot that properly alcoholic* Christmas cake does.

Tomorrow I really need to tackle the job of proving who I am and where I live to my U.K. bank...they've suddenly decided after eight years put of the country and almost 25 years of banking with them, that I should prove how nimble I am by jumping through a few hoops.

Ho hum.

* I will add brandy to the dried fruit until no more can be absorbed.
