No 8: The Nine Incorporated Trades

Weavers.
Linen and then jute were woven in Dundee. The place for the latter was chosen for 2 reasons - the existing expertise of weaving and being a port for the whaling industry which provided the necessary oil to work the coarse jute fibres. (There are maybe more but these are the ones I'm aware of).
I had to go over to the hospital to get the results of the skin biopsy I had a few weeks ago, unfortunately they mean I have to go back and get the lesion removed but that will lead to quicker healing than the alternative laser therapy. Once gone that'll be it and it'll only be a few moments of pain with the local and a few days of the healing process.
