Interesting bloom

I am going to miss yard duty when we leave this campus at the end of the week....more kids, less grounds. Guess it has been so easy to find beauty at these grounds, I'll just have to be more creative.... Have no idea what this gorgeous bloom is, and I nearly missed it...
